The event series for emerging film talent in the DACH region.
ENCOURAGE Film Talents sets out to celebrate places where emerging filmmakers in the DACH region can meet and connect. The focus lies on connecting them both with one another and with the film industry, on supporting careers and on opening up perspectives.
The first Get Together on 20 February 2024, held on the occasion of the 74th Berlinale, brought aspiring filmmakers together with members of the film industry in a dynamic and informal setting. Our pre-event on 14 February — the day before the Berlinale opened — already offered a space for shared reflection and exchange: selected emerging talents screened their films and made the sheer variety of filmmaking visible.
The ENCOURAGE Film Talents Get Together answers the absence of the former reception of the German film schools at the Berlinale, as well as the loss of the Berlinale’s Perspektive Deutsches Kino section, discontinued for the first time in 2024.
